Johnny Flynn

Johnny Flynn also known as Joe Flynn is a British acoustic singer-songwriter. He has also recorded with the English Folk-Rock act Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit. If you like the music of The Tallest Man On Earth you will love Johnny Flynn's similar sound. His second album 'Been Listening' was released to rave reviews in 2010 and is definitely worth purchasing, his extremely talented voice does enough to express why Johnny Flynn will soon be as big a Mumford and Sons. The Times have even described Flynn as "the next poster boy of the nu-folk scene". I would recommend listening to Flynn's fantastic song, 'Leftovers'....

Marble Sounds

All the way from Belgium and consisting of Pieter Van Dessel, Gianni Marzo, Frederik Bastiaenses, Christophe Vanderwoude and Johan De Coster; Marble Sounds create a perfect sound that can be listened to over and over again. If you like Bon Iver you will absolutely adore Marble Sounds. They create a perfect balance between their delicate vocals and instrumentals, this makes the perfect sound for listening to while sat indoors on a rainy day. Once listening to the relaxing, soothing and captivating sounds of Marble Sounds you will never want to listen to anything else again. Definitely worth listening to, especially The Time To Sleep....

The Perishers

If you like Athlete or Joshua Radin you will love The Perishers, they are a Swedish indie rock band. The band formed in 1997 composed of six members. Although they are still yet to reach major commercial breakthrough, their fan base has began to stretch over Europe due to their frequent features on major television programs like The O.C, One Tree Hill and Grey's Anatomy. Their sweet soft melodies create the kind of music that you could fall asleep listening to; the soothing vocals of Ola Kluft have a specific captivating quality that draws you in and involves you with the music.

Andy Grammer

Andy Grammer is an American producer-singer-songwriter, his fantastic debut album, Andy Grammer, was released last June. If you are a fan of Train you will absolutely adore Andy Grammer's catchy songs which are perfect for a relaxed summers day. In January 2011, he was named as an 'Artist to Watch' by Billboard magazine. Whichever song of his you listen to it is very likely that it will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Givers

Givers are an upbeat indie pop group from Lafayette, Louisiana, they have a similar sound to The Cults. Their most popular song, and arguably their best song 'Up Up Up' you probably will have heard as it is featured on EA Sports' Fifa 12 and was covered in the US Television Series Glee in Season 3. In March the group was named one of the 10 Acts That Rocked South By Southwest by Time magazine. If you've learnt anything yet it should be that you ought to be listening to Givers, with their catchy songs that will put a smile on your face they are definitely worth putting on your iPod in time for summer; I recommend Up Up Up....

Wolf Gang

Wolf Gang is a British alternative and symphonic rock band who have previously toured with Florence and The Machine and supported The Killers at Hyde Park, they will also be supporting Coldplay for 12 dates of their US tour; this gives an idea of how incredible Wolf Gang really are. They have cemented their status as one to most definitely watch. Their sound is relatively similar to that of Viva Brother, Givers and MGMT. Their album Suego Faults is filled to the brim with fantastic captivating songs, that you wont be able to stop listening to. I personally think the best songs are; Lions In Cages and The King And All Of His Men.

Karima Francis

Karima Francis is a fantastic Blackpool-born singer songwriter. She has been around for a while and even graced the stage of the one and only Jools Holland. Her voice is unique, distinguishable from any other, she has this real special quality about her that no one else will ever begin to accomplish. Her album The Author is absolutely incredible, the astonishing voice has an innocent and vulnerable sound that captivates you as a listener and causes each song to be heart wrenching. I would definitely describe her as being the next big thing and would question why you aren't already tuned in listening to her. I recommend listening to Wherever I go...

This unique duo from Hamburg are perhaps the most underrated duo on the music scene at the moment. Their upbeat, unique and toe tapping music will instantly put a smile on your face. Their first album 'Mutual Friends' was released in 2011 and is absolutely flawless; I can't think of anything else I would rather listen to on a warm summers day. Every single song on this album is guaranteed to put you in a fantastic mood, you are crazy not to be listening to BOY already. Listen to their album 'Mutual Friends' right away, I recommend listening to 'Little Numbers'...

Local Natives

Local Natives are an indie rock band from the sunny Los Angeles, their captivating sound has been described as modern worldly folk. Their music has similarities to Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver among others. After being named one of the best new bands by Q magazine it is difficult to say why everyone isn't listening to Local Natives. Their music is very vocally and rhythmically driven and definitely deserves a place on your iPod. I would recommend listening to their single from 2010 Who Knows Who Cares, this is a fantastic song which should no doubt be your summer anthem.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHv_IgOk7Ic
